1. About Shelterfair

Shelterfair provides an online marketplace connecting hosts, developers, guests and prospective investors. Shelterfair is not a party to agreements between users unless expressly stated. Listings and project materials remain the responsibility of the submitting user.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must have legal capacity to contract in your jurisdiction and provide accurate information. International travellers must ensure they satisfy immigration, foreign ownership, currency, tax and other legal requirements that apply to them.

3. Listings, projects and review

Submissions must be accurate, lawful and supported by valid rights or authority. Platform review does not constitute a legal, financial, structural or title guarantee. Users should conduct independent due diligence and seek qualified local advice before transacting or investing.

4. Payments and fees

Applicable platform fees are disclosed before payment. Third-party payment processors may apply their own terms, exchange rates and charges. Investment opportunities may involve loss and are not deposits or guaranteed returns.

5. Acceptable use

You may not submit fraudulent content, evade fees, misuse personal information, interfere with the service or violate applicable law. We may suspend accounts or content to protect users, comply with law or investigate risk.

6. Cancellations and disputes

Cancellation, refund and deposit terms depend on the relevant listing, project and agreement. Users should document terms before payment. Contact us promptly about disputes; this does not limit legal rights.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Shelterfair is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, user conduct, property condition, travel disruption or third-party services. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Rwanda have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights that may apply in a user's home jurisdiction.
